Although not recognised on the memorial, CSM Warren had actually been awarded the DCM twice. The first award was gazetted on 22 nd October 1917 and the bar on 3 rd September 1918. Formed at Portsmouth, 5 April 1915, by the Mayor and a local Committee. October 1915 attached to 122nd Brigade, 41st Division and moved to Aldershot. May 1916 France, and Flanders. The Somme campaign 1916. 27th september 1917 amalgamated with 1/1st Hampshire Yeomanry and became the 15th (Hampshire Yeomanry) Bn. |
